This product's active ingredient is magnesium oxide, an inorganic magnesium salt that has a very low bioavailability, meaning that the body can hardly absorb any magnesium from it at all. If you want to get any benefits from magnesium, whether for sleep, muscle recovery, or to support your hormone system, you should look for a different product. While more expensive, magnesium citrate, magnesium glycinate, and magnesium threonate (all available on this site and elsewhere) will be much more effective. The only use for this product, really, is as a laxative.
