Product Overview

  • The Art of Chocolate Alchemy
  • Fair Trade Certified
  • USDA Organic
  • Kosher
  • Certified Organic by International Certification Services

Dagoba is dedicated to The Art of Chocolate Alchemy: transforming exceptional cacao into edible gold. We practice Full Circle Sustainability - blending quality, ecology, equity & community into each step from the rainforest to you.

You can deprive the body, but the soul needs chocolate.

The Aztecs held cacao in such high regard that it was served daily to the royal court in golden goblets. In the spirit of the Aztec's sacred beverage we offer our own Unsweetened Drinking Chocolate made with not only cacao powder, but also bits of pure, dark chocolate. Adventurous souls should feel inspired to add spices or their sweetener of choice.

Suggested Use

We recommend slowly heating one cup of milk or milk alternative on the stovetop while stirring continually until hot. When vapors rise the milk will be at its most receptive to accept chocolate into its embrace. Whisk in 4 tablespoons of our unsweetened drinking chocolate and pour into your favorite mug.

Other Ingredients

iHerb Customer Reviews

This product is the best.

I discovered Dagoba - unsweetened - at my local Market of Choice. Now, after many requests, they tell me they will no longer carry the unsweetened variety. So very happy to find it at my door step only a few days after I ordered it direct from your company. Thank you!!

I like it, because there is no sugar. It is the most healthiest alternative in these chocolate drinks world. You can add sugar how much you want.

Like the other better.

Ordered this mistakenly, but not sure why. I had used another of their cocoa products, and didn't know the difference between that and this. I now know that this has bits of chocolate in it. I put it in my coffee, and I prefer the other one to this one.

Sugar free

Posted by NikiNook on Dec 08, 2016 | Verified Purchase

This is sugar free and tastes like unsweetened cacao would ....bitter. If you are looking to break your chocolate addiction, this will help you redefine your definition of chocolate as a vegetable rather than confectionary item.
