The one that I love...

Posted by faniHerb on Jun 19, 2014 | Verified Purchase

I have been using toners for more than 25 years, the ones from cosmetic brands and pharmacy/supermart brands. Some okay, some good but exorbitant. (1) price - good mid $ (2)qualities - superb, with firming & the potent stuff (DMAE- firms/lifts and reduces lines, Alpha Lipoic also known as ALA -antioxidant,reduce inflammation, improves skin texture for and C-Ester - boost collagen and brighten skin) (3) light pleasant scent. I am using this toner with some other firming serum over the past weeks, I like the result. I like this toner so much so that I am now looking to buy other Derma E products. --- update:- I like it so much that I have introduced to my friends. However, my friend with super sensitive skin gets tingling feeling (ordered the other Derma E soothing toner as well - less tingling). So it may not be suitable for sensitive skins. click yes if this review is useful to you.

A oil that is non greasy... No way!? .... Yes, this way....

Posted by faniHerb on Apr 30, 2014 | Verified Purchase

I initially bought this to try to make my own reed diffuser solution. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out positively, I probably need a dash of volka. So, I have decided to start using the mix of almond oil and essential oils on my arms & legs. Turns out - I like how it is being absorbed into the skin with no greasy feel. With this initiation, I am going the path of natural hydration using oils. I have previously ordered castor oil, jojoba oil, argan oil for specific uses. Now, I can't wait to try mixing them with essential oils. Click Yes if you find my review helpful

Good value, but...

Not giving 5 stars because I have tried other more expensive ones that are amazing! It does not have the "depth" or should I say, richness in this lavender scent. Possibly like in some oils, there's 1st press, 2nd press, extra versions. -------------- Therefore, for "casual setting" this oil in diffuser will serve the purpose. For "romantic" & "de-stress" session, you would most likely to get another stronger/richer brand for the purpose. ------------- Click Yes below if you find this review helpful

Good texture, non greasy

short one star to perfection - coverage just adequate to even skin tone, not enough to cover freckles unlike other Asian brand BB creams (think Korean brands). I like the texture very much, easy to blend with sponge or even fingertips. The other Korean BB creams are thicker and harder to spread/blend. I like to top this with loose powder (I use Physician's formula youthful Wear matte finish powder) and the result is super! Though more expensive than other brands in iHerb, I gave this a try because I have good experience with other Derma E products. I will try other BB creams from iHerb and will update this review at a much later date. Please click "yes" if you find my review useful. Thank you.

Nice colour albeit bad product design

Posted by faniHerb on Nov 17, 2014 | Verified Purchase

The picture in the product description is two dimensional, hence I was not prepared when I received this bulky blusher. The mirror is below the blusher (boxed up) and attached brush. I do not enjoy picking this blusher up to use. Too bulky to bring along for travel or handbags. The cardboard case gets dirty easily. They should have not included the mirror or the brush. Most branded blushers are designed this way, think Shu Emuera, MAC, Innisfree etc. I feel like tearing the packaging apart and just stick the blusher to any makeup compact case that I have. They should have rename the product to something GINGER...

Think Aura Cacia did a bad mixing job in this one. Ginger scent is all that I smell. I don't get any smell of the Ylang Ylang though the product says Ylang Ylang. Not liking this, as compared to the Lavender one that I have bought. Very disappointed. I am thinking of adding my own Ylang Ylang essential oil to this oil. Will report back. On the other hand, the oil is good, your usual carrier oils like sweet almond oil, grape seed oil, apricot kernel oil, prunus amygdalus dulcis (sweet almond) oil, citrus bergamia and tocopherol (vitamin E). Not the thick/sticky grease but light oil that get absorbed fast.

Er... is it just me? Or am I just not familiar with this scent

Read about the good properties of Ginger essential oil.... that it warms, strenghtens, helpful in colds, flu & it relieves cramps, rheumatism & muscle tension. Alone, it smell ... close to AWFUL. Tried mixed with Sweet Orange, ... just bearable... Just read that ginger oil can overpower weaker oils, but blends well with all citrus and spicy oils such as bergamot, frankincense, neroli, rose, sandalwood and ylang-ylang. I will try that and update this review if I feel better with this ginger oil

My mum likes it

Bought this for my mum, that goes out in the mornings for her errands. She likes the smooth texture and commented that this is far better than the foundations that she has been using.

Not bad, not fantastic.... just so so.

Do not think it make any difference. Would have thought the anti-oxidant properties will help to purge toxins out more... maybe moving the bowels more?!! Rather spend the money on other antioxidant supplement. click yes if you find this review useful. Thanks!

Great for those who is allergic to softeners

Posted by faniHerb on Jul 24, 2014 | Verified Purchase

With these wool balls, I have stopped using softeners. I add one drop each of Lavender and Tea Tree Oil onto each ball and just toss into the dryer with just-washed clothes. Viola, nicely scented clothes! Lint-free and soft indeed. The balls will become smaller in size after many uses. I shall find out how long will they last.
